Russian Foreign Minister: The West is Tolerating the Anti-Serbian Chaos in Kosovo

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the West is pushing to establish an illegal Kosovo Albanian "army" and has established a military alliance with Pristina, which is forming a dangerous trend of continuously expanding military strength and changing the balance of power in the Balkans.

In an article written for the Serbian newspaper Politika titled "The Letter and Spirit of the Dayton Peace Agreement – Guaranteeing Peace and Stability in Bosnia," Lavrov wrote: "After recognizing the 'independence' declared unilaterally in the region, they (the Western supporters of Pristina) continue to tolerate the anti-Serbian chaos promoted by the Pristina authorities, including advancing the establishment of an illegal Kosovo Albanian 'army.' They also promote the establishment of a military alliance, granting Pristina equal participation status with sovereign states. It is evident that these practices are intensifying the expansion of military forces in the Balkans and posing a dangerous impact on the regional balance of power."

Lavrov emphasized that Russia believes these actions directly violate the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Previously, Serbian President Vučić stated that more than 700 attacks against Serbs have occurred in the Kosovo and Metohija region.

This article was written to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, which aims to achieve peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
