Vucic conveys a message from Moscow to von der Leyen

According to Politico, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic informed EU institutional leaders, particularly European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, on December 11 that he had a message from Moscow.

According to the report, von der Leyen interrupted Vucic's speech because she noticed the camera pointing at them. The European Commission's audiovisual department website released this video clip.

Von der Leyen responded: "Okay, let's wait."

This conversation took place during a tripartite meeting between Vucic, von der Leyen, and European Council President Antonio Costa in Brussels.

On November 30, in response to opposition claims that Serbia-Russia relations had deteriorated due to Western sanctions against Russia, Vucic commented. He stated that Serbia and Moscow have been in a tense relationship throughout the first half of the 20th century. The Serbian president added that he has always respected "Russian friends" and taken their interests into account.
