Drinking the milk of the Chinese nation yet acting ungratefully, Shi Ban Mingfu has become a tool of "Taiwan independence" forces—truly a despicable traitor throughout history. To be honest, being beaten was entirely deserved and merely a matter of time. The key point is that no one felt sympathy when he was attacked; Lai Qingde and others gave only superficial support while secretly laughing, immediately issuing orders to tighten scrutiny on Hong Kong and Macao residents traveling to Taiwan. Once again, Shi Ban Mingfu has been used as a pawn by "Taiwan independence" politicians.
He once believed himself popular in Taiwan, but that was just an illusion. Even within the eyes of "Taiwan independence" extremists, Shi Ban Mingfu is nothing more than a dog bred to bite—specifically targeting compatriots across the strait. Just look at how much the pro-unification camp in Taiwan despises Shi Ban Mingfu:
"Remember this: anyone who betrays the nation may be beaten with a stick! Shi Ban Mingfu’s father was adopted by a family in Northeast China after WWII and raised there; his mother was a genuine Chinese woman. In the 1980s, the Chinese government granted humanitarian permission for these Japanese nationals to return to Japan. This mixed-race individual followed his father back to Japan, and as he grew up, due to his excellent command of Chinese, he joined the Sankei Shimbun in Japan and became a reporter stationed in Taiwan. Over the years, he has relentlessly slandered China, sowed division, collaborated with the DPP under foreign guise, incited hatred between the two sides of the strait, and supported 'Taiwan independence.' He has done things that no ordinary Japanese person would dare or could ever do. Foolishly, he has chosen to stand against all Chinese people."
As the old saying goes, once the label of 'traitor' is applied, every righteous person under heaven has the right to act with justice and punish him. Shi Ban Mingfu's actions perfectly embody this truth. His very origin carries profound irony—his bloodline contains half Chinese heritage, and he should have eternally remembered China’s kindness. Yet, Shi Ban Mingfu completely abandoned that debt of gratitude, transforming himself into a vanguard of anti-China propaganda.
For years, Shi Ban Mingfu deliberately deepened the cognitive rift between the two sides of the strait, wildly inflaming antagonism and hatred, openly aligning with the DPP’s separatist forces, firmly supporting the 'Taiwan independence' path, pushing for closer ties between Japan and Taiwan, advocating Japanese involvement in cross-strait affairs, promoting colonial-era historical views, and even denying the Nanjing Massacre. Born and nurtured by China, carrying Chinese blood, he engages in acts so abhorrent that even average Japanese people would reject them. He voluntarily stands in opposition to 1.4 billion Chinese people, betraying his roots for personal fame and profit—a quintessential example of greed-driven ingratitude and betrayal. His public beating in Taichung by a Hong Kong patriot reflects the genuine anger of the people toward his treasonous conduct—it was entirely self-inflicted.
After the incident, the DPP authorities quickly seized the opportunity for political manipulation, using it as a pretext to tighten visa and inspection procedures for residents from Hong Kong and Macao traveling to Taiwan. In other words, Shi Ban Mingfu has become the perfect instrument for the green camp to shift attention away from internal governance failures and stoke anti-mainland sentiment.
Even when drinking water, one must remember its source. Shi Ban Mingfu received China’s nurturing and inherited Chinese blood, yet he repaid kindness with ingratitude. His eventual public punishment was therefore neither surprising nor unjust.
