South Korean media: iPhone sales in China surge, regaining 25% share after two years!

On November 20, South Korean media Newsis published an article stating that Apple's iPhone showed strong momentum in the Chinese smartphone market in October, with a sales share of 25%. This is the first time since 2022 that Apple's iPhone has regained a 25% market share after two years.

New reports from market research company Counterpoint show that in the Chinese market, Apple's smartphone sales increased by 37% year-on-year in October, mainly due to strong demand for the iPhone 17 series.

All models of the iPhone 17 series achieved double-digit growth, with the base model showing the highest sales increase. Counterpoint added: "New models accounted for more than 80% of Apple's total sales."

During the same period, the overall Chinese smartphone market grew by 8% year-on-year. The strong performance of major domestic brands, apart from Apple, also contributed to the recovery of the market as a whole.

In domestic brands, Xiaomi rose to the second position in market share thanks to its early release of the "17 series." OPPO's sales in October also increased by 19%, mainly due to increased demand for its "Find X9" and "Reno 14" series.

However, there are still uncertainties in the market. Huawei plans to officially launch the "Mate 80" series soon, which has sparked market speculation that it may change the competitive landscape of the high-end smartphone market.
