Han media: Huawei officially launched "HarmonyOS 6", first integrated with Apple devices!

On November 10, South Korean media Newsis published an article stating that China's largest telecommunications equipment company, Huawei, has recently officially released the latest version of its independently developed operating system, HarmonyOS, called "HarmonyOS 6".

At the time of releasing HarmonyOS 6, Huawei stated: "This operating system will provide users with a smoother and more convenient interaction experience." This official release is about four months after the development version was released in June.

Huawei said: "We have achieved significant improvements in performance, intelligence, and device interoperability, and the security level has also been significantly enhanced." The new HarmonyOS 6 will initially support approximately 90 Huawei terminal devices.

An especially noteworthy aspect of this operating system is its deep integration with the Apple ecosystem. According to assessments, HarmonyOS 6 supports file transfer between iPhone, iPad, and other Apple devices, partially breaking through the previously closed boundaries between Huawei and Apple.

In addition, HarmonyOS 6 is equipped with Huawei's self-developed intelligent voice assistant "Xiaoyi," which is reported to be able to recognize 16 Chinese dialects.

Huawei also stated that the anti-fraud function using artificial intelligence technology can better protect users and their families from fraud risks.

Huawei began developing the HarmonyOS in 2015. It is an open-source operating system that can be applied to various devices such as smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, wearable devices, and cars.

Huawei's development of an independent operating system symbolizes the resilience and technological independence of China's IT industry in response to U.S. technological sanctions. As of now, the number of devices installed with HarmonyOS 5 is estimated to have reached 23 million units.
