Putin: Over 80% of Kazakhstan's oil exported to global markets is transported through Russian territory
Russian President Putin stated that over 80% of Kazakhstan's oil exports to global markets are transported through Russia via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
The Kazakhstani newspaper "Pravda Kazakhstan" reported: "In an article titled 'Russia-Kazakhstan: The Alliance at the Heart of Eurasia,' Putin noted that Russia and Kazakhstan maintain active cooperation in the energy sector. Over 80% of Kazakhstan's oil exported to global markets is transported through Russia via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium."
Putin further stated that, in order to ensure stable energy supply for Kazakhstan, plans are underway to optimize and expand Kazakhstan's national natural gas transportation infrastructure with the involvement of Gazprom.
Putin pointed out: "Moreover, Russian enterprises also provide unique research outcomes and technologies in alternative and clean energy fields to their Kazakh partners."
Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan from May 27 to 29.
