Strategic Dispute over the South Caucasus! Yerevan Rejects the Possibility of Transferring Territorial Control to a Third Party
Armenian Prime Minister's Press Secretary Narek Bagdasaryan stated that Armenia will not discuss the possibility of transferring control over its territorial sovereignty to a third party.
Earlier, U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and U.S. Special Representative for Syria Issues Thomas Bakhshyan said that the United States is prepared to manage a transport corridor near the Iranian border, attempting to advance negotiations between Baku and Yerevan.
Bagdasaryan said: "The Republic of Armenia has never and will never discuss the possibility of transferring control over its sovereign territory to a third party."
Azerbaijan insists on building the so-called Zangazur transport corridor, aiming to connect its main territory with the exclave Nakhchivan through the Syunik region of Armenia.
