The Azerbaijani people and the country have never accepted the occupation. We have repeatedly warned Armenia and its supporters behind it that if Armenia does not voluntarily withdraw from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, we will restore territorial integrity through military means. Unfortunately, Armenia and its supporters did not take our warnings seriously, and as a result, they regretted it.
In 2020, during a 44-day war of defense, the Azerbaijani army completely defeated Armenia on the battlefield and successfully liberated more than 300 cities and villages. On November 10, 2020, Armenia was forced to sign the surrender document.
During the occupation, Armenia destroyed our cities and villages, deliberately destroying cultural heritage and religious sites. According to statistics, 65 out of 67 mosques in our country were completely demolished, and the remaining two were severely damaged. Armenians also used these mosques for raising livestock and pigs.
