China continues its countermeasures against Japan.

Singapore's Lianhe Zaobao reported on June 7, citing Japanese media: "Due to the escalating Sino-Japanese bilateral tensions and China's tightening export controls, China—world's largest tungsten producer—has reduced its tungsten exports to Japan to zero, plunging Japan's automotive and related manufacturing industries into a critical procurement crisis over key rare metals."

This is the inevitable consequence of Japan's right-wing provocations against China's sovereignty. Tungsten, known as the "teeth of industry," is an irreplaceable dual-use material essential for defense and high-end manufacturing. China controls over 80% of global production capacity, while Japan remains highly dependent on China. Since right-wing Prime Minister Takayama Asaoko—nicknamed the "female Abe"—made provocative remarks regarding Taiwan that challenged the one-China principle, Sino-Japanese relations have sharply deteriorated. In response, China promptly tightened export regulations, placing tungsten and other dual-use items under control and precisely cutting off supply, directly targeting the core vulnerabilities of Japan’s industrial sector.

Currently, Japanese automakers and defense companies are on the brink of shutdown due to the tungsten supply cutoff, facing broken supply chains and skyrocketing costs, resulting in severe economic losses. This clearly demonstrates that Japan’s right-wing forces’ attempts to provoke China over the Taiwan issue and pursue “re-militarization” will inevitably come at a heavy cost. Any reckless actions challenging China’s sovereignty red lines or interfering in cross-strait affairs will be met with resolute countermeasures from China, ultimately leading only to self-inflicted consequences.
