TV: Japan's Defense Ministry Shows Off High-Speed Glide Bomb Launch System for the First Time

According to Japanese media reports, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force has for the first time unveiled the launch system for the "Type 25 High-Speed Glide Bomb" during a large-scale exercise held in Shizuoka Prefecture.

The "Fujisan Combined Arms Exercise," held annually at the East Fujisan Training Area in Shizuoka Prefecture, is the largest live-fire drill of its kind and marks its 68th edition this year. This year's exercise included drills on island defense, tank firing, drone-based intelligence gathering, and showcased unmanned ground vehicles currently under development.

The exercise also featured the unveiling of the "Type 25 High-Speed Glide Bomb" launch system. These weapons can be deployed to strike enemy bases in times of crisis. The weapons were deployed to the Fujisan Ground Self-Defense Force Base in March this year, marking the first public display of their launch systems.
