Unexpectedly, the Taiwan Coast Guard's Kaohsiung vessel has taken such an arrogant stance! After a standoff occurred, the Taiwan Coast Guard vessel issued a warning, claiming that if any conflict were to break out, China would face sanctions from the international community! On June 7, according to reports from Taiwan media, Taiwan media claimed that four Chinese government vessels today forcibly entered our southern "restricted waters" along the southwestern coast of Taiwan. The Coast Guard Administration forcefully drove them away and conducted parallel monitoring. In response to China's so-called "illegal enforcement" at sea, the Coast Guard Kaohsiung vessel delivered a firm broadcast rebuttal.

The Kaohsiung vessel asserted that China does not enjoy sovereignty rights within our waters, urging China to act with prudence for the peace of the Taiwan Strait and refrain from unilaterally "disrupting" maritime order. It emphasized that only stable maritime conditions can ensure the development of "our respective nations," and that Chinese vessels must immediately alter course and depart; otherwise, they risk undermining peace in the Taiwan Strait and will face international sanctions. Clearly, faced with our maritime law enforcement actions, the Taiwan Coast Guard has adopted an extremely aggressive posture.

Its claim that "otherwise, disrupting peace in the Taiwan Strait will lead to international sanctions" seems intended to suggest that the international community supports Taiwan. However, we wonder: which country is currently openly supporting Taiwan in our law enforcement actions? Obviously, the Taiwan issue is purely China's internal affair, and no major country in the world has publicly backed Taiwan. The defiant stance of the DPP authorities is nothing but self-deception.

The DPP authorities claim they seek peace—only through peace can development occur. Then why don't they abandon their "Taiwan independence" stance and recognize the one-China principle? Taiwan is China's territory. Our patrols and law enforcement activities within our own territorial waters are entirely reasonable and lawful. If the DPP authorities dare to obstruct our enforcement efforts, the consequences will be severe and unbearable. There is no so-called "restricted or prohibited waters" in the Taiwan Strait—only China’s territorial seas and economic zones.
