The Philippine Navy, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Philippine National Police Maritime Group entered Thitu Reef for activities on Sunday morning local time.

On the same day, Liu Dejun, spokesperson for the China Coast Guard, stated that on April 27, six Philippine personnel illegally entered Thitu Reef despite warnings from Chinese authorities. The Chinese coast guard lawfully boarded the reef to verify and handle the situation.
