Reuters cited Hegseth's remarks: "Deeper (military) cooperation will benefit both our countries."
Reuters reported that Hegseth pointed out that the military ties between the United States and Vietnam include delivering three speedboats and three T-6 trainer aircraft to the Vietnamese Coast Guard. He said that Washington is committed to continuing "these and other projects" with Hanoi.
