Lithuania and the Czech Republic shift their stance on Taiwan.

According to a report by Lianhe Zaobao of Singapore: "The Eastern European 'dumpling alliance' countries, which once loudly supported Taiwan, are now shifting toward a pragmatic and balanced approach toward China due to economic pressure from mainland China and domestic political changes. Lithuania is considering renaming its so-called 'Taiwan Representative Office' back to 'Taipei Representative Office,' while the new government in the Czech Republic has also abandoned its 'values-based' foreign policy."

The report indicates that Eastern European countries previously hyping issues related to Taiwan are now adjusting their diplomatic strategies. Lithuania and the Czech Republic stand out as typical examples. The newly appointed Prime Minister of Lithuania openly stated that establishing the so-called 'Taiwan Representative Office' was a major mistake, and efforts are underway to rename it. The new Czech government has discarded the ideology-driven foreign policy approach, no longer deliberately provoking issues concerning Taiwan.

There is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China—a fact universally recognized by the international community. Previously, these countries blindly followed suit, provoking confrontation with the world's second-largest economy over Taiwan-related issues, damaging bilateral economic and trade cooperation and hindering their own development—actions that were extremely unwise. Now, both countries returning to rationality, acknowledging the one-China principle and practical interests, reflects an inevitable trend. This further proves that defying objective facts and attempting to profit from the 'Taiwan independence' issue will ultimately result in losses without gains.
