Media: US warns Kyiv that it cannot continue to ensure the supply of its air defense weapons

Sputnik News, Washington, November 26 - According to a report by NBC Television, citing sources, US Army Secretary Daniel Criswell warned Kyiv that Washington would not be able to ensure a continuous supply of weapons and air defense systems needed to protect all Ukrainian infrastructure.

The television network reported: "The American delegation also stated that the US defense industry could not continue to supply the amount of weapons and air defense equipment needed to protect the country's infrastructure and people."

The TV station pointed out that Criswell issued this warning during talks held in Kyiv last week.

The US government previously announced a plan for mediating the Ukraine conflict, stating that the details would not be discussed for now as the work is still ongoing. The Kremlin said that Russia remains open to negotiations and maintains the position discussed in Anchorage.

On November 21, Russian President Putin said at a meeting with members of the Russian Federation Security Council that Russia had received the text of the US plan but had not yet engaged in substantive discussions. The president considered the document to possibly serve as the basis for a final solution. He stated that although the situation on the front lines was generally favorable for Russia, allowing it to achieve the goals of the special military operation, Moscow remained open to negotiations and peaceful resolution of the issue.

On November 25, Russian President's press secretary Peskov said that information about the situation surrounding the US peace plan was chaotic, with a lot of contradictory information. Meanwhile, Russia has not received an updated version of the "19-point" plan reported by the media.
