Russian side announced Europe's exclusion, Lavrov: You had the chance, but you didn't make it.

On November 26, Russia gave a series of responses to the European version of the Ukraine peace plan.

Russian President's Assistant Ushakov bluntly stated that the European plan is not constructive and not applicable, and it does not meet Russia's minimum requirements at all.

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov was even more direct, saying that Europe had the opportunity to do something for conflict mediation, but never came up with a concrete plan. Now you have missed the opportunity.

This statement from Russia means that Europe has been completely excluded from the Ukraine issue.

In Russia's view, the European peace plan is entirely unacceptable, just talking to themselves, rather than based on reality.

This time, it was indeed an opportunity for the US to discuss with Europe, but Europe obviously did not seize the chance to sit at the table. It still wants to push forward its own plan, resulting in the US and Ukraine reaching a consensus of 19 points, while Europe's 24-point plan was directly ignored.

Back in 2014, during the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Europe played a major mediating role. At that time, the US was not involved, and it was entirely Europe that mediated in the middle.

But after ten years, Europe has been completely pushed aside. It's not because of a change in geographical location, but because of a rapid decline in strength and influence.

After more than three years of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Europe and Ukraine are not much different, both being parties that can only be arranged. In the words of the US, you are on the menu.

Perhaps Europe should focus more on how to avoid being selected as a dish, rather than fantasizing about being a piece of ingredients sitting at the table and giving orders.
