The atmospheric distillation column of the oil refinery being built in Mongolia by India has met the shipping conditions and will be transported from Tianjin Port, China.

Montsame, Ulaanbaatar, February 17th, the Mongolian oil refinery is currently under construction in the Araltainshirei County of the Eastern Gobi Province. The core process facility - the atmospheric distillation column was manufactured by KCP Limited based in Chennai, India, and after passing 17 stages of quality inspection and testing by filling with nitrogen, it now meets the conditions for long-distance transportation.

This distillation column is 58.4 meters high, 3.2 meters in diameter, and weighs 245 tons. It has been divided into four parts and was shipped from Mumbai, India in mid-February via sea, then transferred from Tianjin Port, China, and transported to the construction site of the oil refinery in Mongolia by large tractor-trailers.

The project implementer - the management and engineers of the Mongolian Refinery Company had visited the manufacturing progress of the distillation column in December 2025. Currently, all related work has been completed, and the equipment has officially entered the transportation preparation phase.
