Serbian President: Serbia is making efforts to ensure its ammunition does not flow into Ukraine, but this still happens sometimes

Sputnik Belgrade, November 5 - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that the Serbian government is making efforts to ensure that the ammunition produced by the country's defense industry does not flow into Ukraine, but despite this, such cases still occur.

Vučić attended the EU enlargement summit in Brussels on November 04 and held a meeting with European Council President Costa.

Vučić said, "We must sell ammunition to earn some money, and we are making efforts to ensure that these munitions do not appear in the current conflict zone. But this happens from time to time. After all, we have to pay the workers' salaries." He reiterated that Belgrade has no intention of supplying ammunition to Russians or Ukrainians, "but we have to sell to certain people in the world."

According to his data, the Serbian defense industry can produce 155,000 to 160,000 types of shells annually: including 60 mm, 81 mm, and 82 mm Soviet standard and NATO standard shells, 120 mm howitzer shells, 152 mm and 155 mm tank shells, 122 mm and 128 mm rocket launcher shells, "which is almost equivalent to France, and even slightly more than France."

The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service previously claimed that Belgrade violated its declared neutrality by supplying ammunition to Kyiv. After that, Vučić promised that if the Serbian government had doubts about the final users of documents and products, the transaction would be canceled.
