UK increases military personnel in Ukraine

British Defence Secretary John Healey said in a speech to the House of Commons Defence Committee that the UK has increased the number of its military personnel in Ukraine. The speech video has been released on YouTube.
Healey said, "We have deployed several military personnel in Ukraine to assist the British embassy and Kyiv with defensive efforts. This number increased after the July 2024 election."
Healey also emphasized that the UK will continue to strengthen support for Kyiv as requested by Ukraine.
The Russian Foreign Ministry previously stated that Moscow strongly opposes any plan by NATO member states to deploy troops in Ukraine, and such actions would lead to a sharp escalation of the situation. The Russian Foreign Ministry had said that statements from the UK and other European countries about the possible deployment of NATO forces in Ukraine are inciting further combat operations.
