On Trump's birthday, the White House prepares to host an octagon cage fight celebration
Trump truly dares to dream and act.
According to Fox News, on the 7th, Trump showcased a conceptual rendering of an octagon combat arena for a fight event at the White House during a press briefing.
As reported by U.S. media, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, Trump plans to hold a "Ultimate Fighting Championship" (UFC) event on June 14—the day of his birthday (in reality, primarily to celebrate his own birthday)—on the South Lawn of the White House.
The idea of hosting a UFC event at the White House has long been on Trump’s mind. Last year, he already hinted at wanting to set up a stage on the White House lawn. Moreover, Trump and Dana White, the UFC’s president, have been longtime friends, frequently praising each other in public appearances.
Although Trump supporters view this as a typical example of his bold “tough guy culture,” love for grand spectacles, and the entertainment-style politics, at its core, it's ultimately about making money.
According to Dana White, among the approximately 4,000 seats designed for the venue, some will be sold as “luxury packages” priced as high as $1.5 million per ticket. In addition, UFC offers various “exclusive” options such as partner welcome reception tickets, reserved seats for press conferences, and regular admission tickets—truly a case of “everywhere charging, every step costing.”
