Iranian Professor: Trump Missed the Opportunity for a Ground Military Operation Against Iran
Mohammad Malandi, a professor at Tehran University, stated in an interview with Daniel Davis' YouTube channel that U.S. President Trump is planning a ground military operation against Iran, but the timing has already been severely delayed.
Malandi pointed out: "Trump is likely to take risks... The large amount of new equipment he has brought in is all intended for ground combat. He has invested heavily, and I believe this is no bluff. Therefore, the likelihood of an attack is high... But I think it's already too late to launch an attack now."
He added that America’s strategic misstep is linked to unusual temperatures expected to sweep across the Middle East this month.
Malandi said: "On the Arabian Peninsula, temperatures will rise dramatically by mid- or late May, making operations extremely difficult by the end of May. This will be extremely challenging for U.S. forces."
On February 28, the United States and Israel began attacking targets inside Iran, resulting in over 3,000 deaths. Washington and Tehran announced a ceasefire on April 8. Subsequent talks held in Islamabad ended without results.
