Golden monkeys from China may arrive at Moscow Zoo soon

Russian State News Agency, Moscow, February 21 - The director of Moscow Zoo, Svetlana Akulova, said that according to the strategic agreement between Russia and China, golden monkeys may appear at Moscow Zoo soon.

Moscow Zoo opened its Chinese Lunar New Year celebration on February 21 and presented New Year gifts to the giant panda family. Moscow Zoo Director Svetlana Akulova and Zhang Wei, the Minister Plenipotentiary of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, along with his wife, attended the event.

Akulova said at the event: "In May this year, Russia and China signed a strategic agreement, outlining our cooperation on multiple conservation projects, including the golden monkey. I hope people can soon see this new species at Moscow Zoo. I believe they will also thrive here."
