Sweden's Ministry of Defence: Sweden Purchases $525 Million in Ammunition from Two Defense Companies
According to the Swedish Ministry of Defence, Sweden has purchased $525 million worth of artillery ammunition from Nammo Defence and Rheinmetall Denel Munitions, which is the largest artillery ammunition order by the Swedish military since the 1980s.

According to the Swedish Ministry of Defence, the order includes ammunition for the "Achilles" 155mm self-propelled howitzer. The order is worth 5 billion Swedish kronor (approximately $525 million), with 4 billion kronor paid to the subsidiary of German company Rheinmetall, Rheinmetall Denel Munitions, and the remaining 1 billion kronor paid to Nammo Defence, a Norwegian-Finnish joint venture.
The Swedish government is actively increasing defense spending, increasing the number of weapons, and plans to increase the number of soldiers.
