Russian Trade Office in Sweden Attacked by Drone Spraying Paint

The Russian Embassy in Sweden released a statement saying that the Russian Trade Office in Sweden was attacked again, with someone using a drone to spray paint inside the office.

The embassy posted on its Telegram channel: "At around 3:30 am on July 5, the Russian Trade Office in Sweden, as an inseparable part of the Russian diplomatic mission, was attacked again by a drone, which dropped a bag of paint from the air. The last such attack occurred on June 17."

The embassy pointed out that such attacks on the Russian embassy and trade office have been ongoing for more than a year. Russian diplomats have repeatedly called on Swedish police and the Swedish Foreign Ministry to stop such attacks and fulfill their obligations under the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations to protect foreign diplomatic missions.

The Russian embassy stated, "The result seems still not to be there. A matter-of-fact question is: Are the Swedish authorities unable or unwilling to investigate these incidents and ensure the protection of the diplomatic mission? We demand a comprehensive investigation into this and previous drone attacks on the Russian embassy and trade office and to put an end to such attacks."
