【Putin: China and India are Russia's key trade partners】
On December 2, 2025 Moscow time, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the "Russia is Calling" investment forum:
I have said before that the majority of countries act rationally and practically. In the past three years, we have significantly increased our trade volume with them, mainly with our key partners China and India, with whom we are closely connected by years of friendship and strategic cooperation.
Putin added:
I know there are many representatives from Chinese and Indian delegations here. I would like to emphasize that we aim to raise our cooperation to a new qualitative level by strengthening the technological components of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of India. Many joint projects in areas such as energy, industry, aerospace, and agriculture are designed for this purpose.
Putin emphasized:
In terms of economic agenda, we have established substantial dialogue with China. We will also discuss these issues in detail with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during our upcoming visit to India, including the issue of increasing the import of Indian goods into our market. At this meeting, we also discussed this important component of the strategy. Of course, this mainly applies to India, that is, the issues related to the trade balance.
