Senior officials from Cambodia and the United States held high-level talks on regional situations.

Cambodia is playing with the US over the Thailand-Cambodia conflict!

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Techo Heng, met with Admiral Philip Davidson, Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command, and Ambassador Kagan of the United States to Malaysia on August 6, 2025.

During the meeting, Kagan assured Cambodia that the United States firmly supports the ceasefire initiative launched under the leadership of the President of the United States. Kagan and Davidson emphasized that the United States will actively monitor the situation to ensure the successful and effective implementation of the ceasefire. The US side also committed to providing key logistical and technical support to establish an ASEAN monitoring team as soon as possible.

In addition, the United States also stated that it will provide continuous assistance to Cambodia in military planning, equipment, deployment systems, space-based and air surveillance systems, and other advanced technologies.

Perhaps not clear about the real intentions of the United States, or pretending not to know, the Cambodian side expressed gratitude for the US' willingness to support a truly lasting peace.
