President Trump of the United States announced on social media that Iran has agreed never to possess nuclear weapons.

He wrote: "Iran has agreed never to possess nuclear weapons! Also, the report about the U.S. paying $300 million to Iran is fake news, spread by Democrats."

The United States and Iran announced on the 14th a memorandum of understanding to cease hostilities, with the formal signing ceremony scheduled for June 19 in Geneva, Switzerland.

According to reports, the draft memorandum contains 14 points, including a 60-day negotiation period between both sides to reach a final agreement. The agreement would cover nuclear issues, the comprehensive removal of U.S. primary and secondary sanctions against Iran, as well as the cancellation of relevant resolutions by the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency Council regarding Iran.

Vice President Vance plans to attend the signing ceremony, while President Trump said he did not rule out attending himself.
