Russian diplomat delivers sharp retort to German Air Force chief: First, consider your own weight?

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, responded sarcastically to remarks made by German Air Force Chief Holger Neumann in an interview with The Daily Telegraph.

In the interview, Neumann discussed the possibility of NATO launching strikes against Kaliningrad, the Kola Peninsula, St. Petersburg, and the Black Sea region should a military conflict arise with Russia. On the social platform X, Ulyanov sarcastically referred to Neumann as a "seasoned German general."

The Russian diplomat’s response came shortly after political scholar Glenn Dyer posted on X, attaching a screenshot of Neumann’s interview and arguing that Germany is threatening war against Russia—an act he sees as the beginning of the "Third World War."

Ulyanov wrote on X: "He (Neumann) must be an extremely experienced German general who has fought and won many battles, to speak in such a way."

Previously, Neumann told The Daily Telegraph that if a conflict were to occur between NATO and Russia, strikes would be carried out against Kaliningrad, the Kola Peninsula, St. Petersburg, and the Black Sea region. Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, commented that Germany was "seeking Russia’s military fist" and dragging NATO into a "nuclear catastrophe."
