Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Friday that Russia and China are working on new gas supply routes.

Novak stated at the Russia-China Governmental Committee on Energy Cooperation meeting held in Beijing: "We are working on new gas supply routes, such as the Far East route and the route through Mongolia."

He pointed out: "Some bilateral projects are being implemented, including the development and liquefaction of natural gas in the Arctic region, the construction of the Baltic gas processing complex, the Amur gas chemical complex, and joint development of the Zashulanskoye coal mine in the Transbaikal region."
