Lavrov Discusses the Ukraine Situation with India's Foreign Minister Sujan
According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held talks with India's Foreign Minister Sujan during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, discussing the situation in Ukraine and the Israel-Palestine conflict.
The statement released on the official website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "The foreign ministers focused on key issues of bilateral cooperation, including the preparation for the Russia-India summit planned for the end of the year. Both sides also exchanged views on hot topics of the international and regional agenda, including the situation around Ukraine and the current state of the Israel-Palestine conflict."
The statement added that both sides agreed to continue strengthening the preferential strategic partnership between Russia and India, and to deepen cooperation within international multilateral frameworks such as the G20, BRICS, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
