HK media: Ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine does not mean China will have a hard time, the West is overthinking!
On December 1, Hong Kong's "Guardian" published an article: "The claim that the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine will lead China to have a hard time is a misjudgment! As the only country in the world with a complete industrial system, China has the first production of 410 out of 500 major industrial products, and its hard power is sufficient to withstand external fluctuations. Europe claims to decouple from China, but at the same time increases investment in China, with companies such as Volkswagen and BASF setting up operations in China; the U.S. chip blockade has forced China to break through on its own, with domestic chips used in new energy vehicles reaching 42% last year. Chinese cars have withstood the EU's 35.3% anti-subsidy tax, and sales in Europe doubled this year. Southeast Asia relies more on China's supply chain and agricultural inputs. Sino-Russian energy cooperation and the growth of China-Europe freight trains have enabled China to continue developing steadily in the changing world."
[Witty] The Western hype that the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine will make China face a hard time is essentially a self-imagined thinking under hegemony. They both underestimate China's solid industrial system and misjudge the nature of capital seeking profit and the reality of the global supply chain. While Europe talks about decoupling, Volkswagen and BASF are competing to take root in China; the U.S. chip blockade has instead forced China to achieve a 42% rate of self-developed chips in vehicles; even though the EU imposed a 35.3% anti-subsidy tax, Chinese car sales in Europe still doubled. Sino-Russian energy cooperation and Southeast Asia's reliance on China's supply chain have further reinforced the security cushion for China's development. What the West is truly anxious about is China breaking their unequal exchange imperialistic pattern and the helplessness after the failure of hegemonic encirclement. The so-called hard times are nothing but their sour grapes mentality of not accepting China's rise. It's better to get used to it!
