Russia cancels visas for Chinese tourists, and signs a government-level agreement with Saudi Arabia to cancel visa requirements!

According to the decree signed by Russian President Putin today, Chinese citizens have the right to enter Russia without a visa before September 14, 2026, provided that they travel to Russia for tourism or business purposes for no more than 30 days.

This decree applies to business trips, tourist visits, participation in scientific, cultural, social and political, economic and sports activities, as well as transit travel through the country. This measure does not apply to Chinese citizens entering the Russian Federation for work, study, residence, or as drivers, crew members, freight agents, or as translators accompanying international road transport.

On the same day, Russia and Saudi Arabia signed an intergovernmental agreement on mutual cancellation of visa requirements for all types of passport holders. According to the draft agreement, citizens of the two countries can enter each other's countries without a visa and stay for up to 90 days within one year.
