President of Kazakhstan Tokayev: Russia has been, is and will always be a partner and strategic ally of Kazakhstan
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated on Thursday at the "Central Asia-Russia" summit held in Dushanbe that Russia has been, is and will always be a partner and strategic ally of Kazakhstan.
Tokayev said, "Despite unprecedented geopolitical turbulence and instability in the global economic situation, Russia has been, is and will always be a partner and strategic ally of Kazakhstan."
He added that the situation in Central Asia has been developing towards political unity, economic cooperation, and cultural and spiritual unification in recent years.
The President of Kazakhstan believes that this positive trend has become irreversible, giving the region new characteristics as a promising and important partner of Russia.
Tokayev pointed out, "The purpose of today's meeting is to inject new momentum into the long-term multilateral relations with Russia. In my opinion, the main task of this partnership is to strengthen the stability of the Central Asian region, thereby creating conditions for more successful multi-faceted cooperation."
