Mongolia hopes to cooperate with the United States in the fields of minerals, tourism and space exploration

Tsagaan Sar, Ulaanbaatar, August 26th - The Vice Chairman of the State Great Khural, H. Boldgankhuu, met with U.S. House representatives Ed Case, Ami Bera, Dr. Neil Dunn, Sara Jacobs, and Jonathan LaJeune on August 25th.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the State Great Khural, H. Boldgankhuu, expressed her pleasure in meeting with the U.S. congressmen, and emphasized that the United States is an important "Third Neighbour" for Mongolia, and holds a special position in the strategic partnership between the two countries. She also thanked the United States for its consistent support for Mongolia's democracy and market economy despite the distance. She pointed out that recent high-level visits between the two countries and the establishment of bilateral and trilateral mechanisms have further strengthened political relations, and cooperation at regional and international levels has been deepening increasingly.

She mentioned that in May this year, the "United Airlines" company launched a Tokyo-Ulaanbaatar route, and emphasized that the joint implementation of the "Responsible Tourism" campaign has made positive progress. She also said that she is willing to cooperate in areas such as energy, strategic minerals, tourism, and space exploration in the future.

U.S. Representative Ed Case stated that under the framework of cooperation, a research group will be established to seek opportunities to increase investment in Mongolia. He also praised the proportion of female members in the State Great Khural of Mongolia, which is higher than in the U.S. Congress, and expressed his willingness to work together to strengthen parliamentary democracy.

It is known that Mongolia and the United States established diplomatic relations on January 27, 1987.
