According to a source from Pakistan's security agencies speaking to Sputnik News, the death toll from the explosion on a special train carrying military personnel in Quetta has risen to 23, with approximately 47 others injured.

The source said most of the victims were women and children. Preliminary investigations indicate the train had stopped to attach additional carriages in order to transport families of soldiers returning home for the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday.
