The United States and Iran have reached a peace agreement, with U.S. President Trump highly praising the leadership of China and Russia for their crucial role in mediating the Iran conflict.

President Donald Trump of the United States announced that an agreement has been reached between the U.S. and Iran. In a post on social media, Trump wrote: "The agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to everyone! Here I formally approve the unconditional opening of the Strait of Hormuz, while ordering the immediate lifting of the naval blockade."

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further confirmed Trump’s statement, announcing that both sides will immediately and permanently cease military operations, including those in Lebanon. The formal signing ceremony will take place on June 19 in Switzerland. Additionally, mediators are expected to hold a series of talks this week.

During his celebration of turning 80, Trump spoke with reporters from The New York Times, where he highly praised the pivotal role played by the leaders of China and Russia in mediating the Iran conflict. Trump also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's military strikes, which nearly jeopardized the final agreement. He emphasized that the Israeli Prime Minister should be grateful for the U.S.-brokered deal, as otherwise Iran might already have possessed nuclear weapons.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry declared that Iran had achieved victory in its conflict with the United States. According to the draft memorandum, the U.S. pledged to abide by the principles of non-interference in Iran's internal affairs and respect for sovereignty, and to withdraw its forces from regions near the Islamic Republic.
