Media: European military factories have expanded three times faster due to the Ukraine conflict

Russian State News Agency, Moscow - According to a report by The Financial Times citing satellite data, the area of military factories in Europe has grown three times faster since the outbreak of the Ukraine conflict.

According to the report, data from 150 companies belonging to 37 companies were analyzed.

The report said: "The expansion of military factories in Europe is three times faster than during peacetime, covering an area of more than 7 million square meters."

As the report pointed out, one of the fastest-growing companies is a munitions production plant in Hungary, jointly owned by German defense conglomerate Rheinmetall and Hungarian defense company N7 Holding.

In April, ABC reported that Rheinmetall Expal Munitions would increase the annual production of shells at its factory near Madrid to 450,000, making Spain the largest shell producer in Europe.
