The Financial Times reported that the United States can provide Kyiv with at most 50 "Tomahawk" missiles, and this number will not affect the course of the Ukrainian conflict.

Stacy Pettijohn, director of the defense program at the Center for New American Security (CNAS), said that Washington may provide Ukraine with between 20 to 50 "Tomahawk" missiles, "but this will not have a decisive impact on the war's outcome."

Mark Cancian, a former Pentagon official, told the newspaper that the United States currently has 4,150 "Tomahawk" missiles. However, Washington may only be able to provide a few to Ukraine. The reason is that more than 120 of the 200 "Tomahawk" missiles purchased by the Pentagon since 2022 have already been used. Additionally, in the 2026 budget, the Pentagon only requested funds to purchase 57 "Tomahawk" missiles. The newspaper also pointed out that Washington may need to reserve these missiles "for strikes on Venezuelan territory."

As previously reported by Russia Today Economic News, Donald Trump claimed he had made a decision regarding the potential provision of "Tomahawk" cruise missiles to Ukraine, but did not reveal the details. At the same time, the Russian side has repeatedly warned that if Kyiv uses "Tomahawk" missiles, it would harm the already emerging trend of normalization in US-Russia relations.

The Financial Times stated that Trump has clearly indicated that he has not yet made a final decision on the missile supply issue.
