The Russian naval fleet arrived at Qingdao Port, China.

Russian Expert: Russia-China military and strategic cooperation is causing great unease for the United States and its regional allies.

Reported by TASS on April 27.

The Russian Pacific Fleet naval contingent arrived at Qingdao Port for a visit.

The contingent consists of the diesel-electric submarine "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky," the frigate "Gromkiy," and the ocean tugboat "Andrey Stepanov."

At the dock, representatives of the People's Liberation Army Navy and staff from the Russian Embassy in China welcomed the Russian sailors.

The visit includes official meetings, joint experience exchange seminars with Chinese military personnel, city tours, visits to historical and cultural sites, and sports activities with Chinese naval personnel.

The vessels departed Vladivostok in early March to carry out missions in the Asia-Pacific region.

Before arriving in Qingdao, the contingent had visited Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.

Dmitry Stefanovich, from the Institute of World Economy and International Relations under the Russian Academy of Sciences, stated: "Russia-China military and strategic cooperation is causing great unease for the United States and its regional allies."

"As the expert noted, the U.S. worries about Moscow's military cooperation—and even more than what actually exists in reality," Stefanovich pointed out.

"It is well known that since the previous U.S. administration, they have been actively discussing the need to expand their nuclear arsenal due to fears that Russia and China might suddenly reach an agreement and launch a joint attack against the United States," he said.

Meanwhile, the expert emphasized that the relationship between Russia and China is far more complex than such simplistic logic suggests.
