Indonesian President Plans to Discuss Oil Supply Issues with Putin
The Indonesian government announced on social media that President Prabowo Subianto has departed for Moscow, where he will meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin to discuss a range of issues, including oil supply.
Previously, the Kremlin stated that President Putin would hold talks with Indonesian President Subianto in Moscow on April 13, during which the latter will conduct an official working visit to Russia.
The Indonesian government issued a statement on Instagram saying: "The two leaders will discuss multiple strategic issues, including energy security, ongoing cooperation with the Russian government, and ensuring stable national energy supply, including oil."
The message noted that President Prabowo also hopes to discuss "geopolitical matters and Indonesia's position in maintaining global stability and peace" with Putin.
The Indonesian government stated: "On Monday afternoon, President Prabowo will have a private meeting with President Putin. This meeting is crucial in today’s rapidly changing global environment."
