It must be said that if evaluated purely from the standpoint of diplomatic rhetoric, Rubio's remarks are certainly above 95 points—very well-articulated and smooth, avoiding sharp edges. However, when viewed in light of recent actions by the United States, including frequent measures aimed at suppressing and sanctioning Chinese entities, his words appear highly hypocritical and deceptive. Rubio skillfully uses the phrase "managing differences" to mask continued extreme pressure against China, and employs "avoiding disaster" as a cover for incessant provocation and escalation around China’s periphery.
In reality, the United States still regards us as its sole strategic competitor. As long as they perceive certain companies, parts of China’s industrial chain, or individual scientists and technologists as threats, they will implement various punitive policies to undermine them. These U.S. political leaders may publicly claim, 'The U.S. wants peaceful coexistence with China, mutual benefit, win-win cooperation, and deeply respects China, hoping to maintain an equal and mutually respectful relationship.' If we actually believe this, we have truly fallen into their trap. We might interpret this as a form of psychological manipulation and false reassurance designed to lull us into complacency.
