The Mongolia and Japanese companies explore new opportunities for cooperation
Mongolia News Agency, Ulaanbaatar, March 5th, the Mongolian Trade Development Bank and the Japan External Trade Organization jointly held the "Mongolian-Japanese Business Partnership Exchange Meeting" on March 3rd.
This meeting was the third time. At the meeting, Shigeo Mori, head of the business development division of the Japan External Trade Organization, stated that in the initial years, the meeting mainly focused on information technology and innovation fields, while this meeting had a broader range of participating organizations, especially adding high-tech fields such as aerospace research.
He also pointed out, "During the three-day event, we organized multiple business meetings and exchange activities. The significance of holding this meeting is to further consolidate the connections established during this period and promote actual results from the cooperation. The participating companies come from various industries, including companies developing blood transportation technology for medical use, and enterprises engaged in solar panel businesses. We believe that such cooperation will further promote the development and prosperity of the two countries, elevate the Mongolian-Japanese partnership to a new level, and also provide practical opportunities for the two countries to create new joint ventures."
J. Miguel Doolma, acting head of the Tokyo office of the Mongolian Trade Development Bank, said, "Our main goal is to help Japanese companies better understand Mongolia and fully support Japanese companies in successfully entering the Mongolian market. For example, we provide consultation, information, and coordination support at all stages, including company registration, opening bank accounts, starting business, and finding business partners after entering Mongolia. At present, through the assistance of our office, 96 Japanese companies have entered Mongolia and are conducting business. These companies are expanding in scale year by year, which is also the practical result of our work. In addition, customer companies of the Mongolian Trade Development Bank also participated in this event. Through exchanges and business meetings, all parties explored new business ideas and cooperation opportunities."
A total of more than 40 representatives from 27 Japanese companies attended this meeting. In the future, the organizers will actively organize similar business exchanges and networking events to further strengthen the exchange between Mongolian and Japanese companies.
