Mongolia will cooperate with Norway in the fields of renewable energy and green technology
MT News, Ulaanbaatar, March 5th, during his visit to Norway, Mongolian Foreign Minister B. Batceregt met with Norwegian Minister of International Development Osmund Grefsrud Aukrust.
In the meeting, both sides exchanged views on further enriching the economic and investment dimensions of Mongolian-Norwegian relations based on common values such as democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
Both sides pointed out that there is broad prospects for expanding cooperation in areas such as renewable energy, ecological and environmental protection, forestry, green technology, education, culture, and tourism.
Both sides also mentioned that the two countries jointly initiated and promoted the United Nations to adopt the resolution on increasing transparency of funds for election candidates, political parties, and campaign activities.
Additionally, the Mongolian side proposed to strengthen cooperation in areas such as combating climate change, preventing desertification, pasture and soil science management, afforestation, and invited Minister Osmund Grefsrud Aukrust to attend the COP17 conference to be held in August this year.
