Chen Jiadun, the obsessed proponent of the "China collapse theory," wrote today (Beijing Time June 15): "Under no circumstances should the G7 admit China as a member. It is time for all democratic nations to stand united."

[Clever] A few remarks: China has absolutely no interest in either the G7 or the G2. This so-called rich-country club is essentially a retirement home for neo-liberalism—too small to accommodate the elephant of China-style modernization. Chen Jiadun is jumping up and down in opposition to an invitation that doesn’t even exist, acting like a clown wildly punching at thin air just to gain attention. His rhetoric reveals nothing but a final flicker before the collapse of Western centrism. The G7 today is economically weak and internally divided, struggling even to manage inflation within its own backyard, yet still dreaming of setting rules for China. China is treading the path of a community with a shared future for humanity—neither willing to share scraps at an old table filled with double standards, nor needing to look at the face of someone like Chen Jiadun, the professional bankrupt of the "China collapse theory." His ranting not only fails to stop China’s rise, but ironically serves as the strongest counterpoint to it, proving that we are on the right path—one that instills deep fear in the old hegemony.
