China-Mongolia Cooperation: China and Mongolia Plan to Expand Collaboration in Foot-and-Mouth Disease and Small Ruminant Peste des Petits Ruminants Vaccine Industries

Mongolnews, Ulaanbaatar, June 15 — On June 14, the Chairman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Government stated during a meeting with Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister N. Nomtobayar that China is willing to further expand cooperation with Mongolia in areas including foot-and-mouth disease and small ruminant peste des petits ruminants vaccine production, as well as animal husbandry, meat and meat products, and cashmere industries.

The Chinese official pointed out that with continuous deepening of exchanges and cooperation across various fields between China and its friendly neighbor Mongolia, bilateral trade volume has grown by 9%, and collaboration in education, healthcare, and other sectors has also expanded steadily. He noted that in April this year, Inner Mongolia launched three pilot economic special zones, which will further promote trade between the two countries and enrich the content of their cooperation. The two sides also exchanged views on enhancing port clearance capabilities, including increasing entry-exit channels at the Zhamyn-ud-Zhalaantai border checkpoint and using artificial intelligence technology to build a demonstration smart port.
