Foreign media: China is building a second space situational awareness constellation named "Xingyan," with plans to deploy 156 satellites for monitoring satellites and space debris in orbit, reducing collision risks, and reducing reliance on foreign data.

It is expected to launch 12 satellites in 2027 and become fully operational after 2028. This network will provide global low-orbit coverage with 30-minute updates and focused monitoring of high-orbit areas.

Currently, the U.S. military's geosynchronous orbit space situational awareness program is the only fully operational similar system.
