The Ukrainian Air Force stated that this crash was caused by an aircraft equipment failure, which is the first crash of the Mirage-2000 in Ukraine.
This Mirage-2000 was developed by France in the 1970s and entered service in the 1980s, which was considered advanced at the time, and was exported to many countries.
