The Kuomintang (KMT) will send a delegation to visit the mainland. On September 1st, TVBS News reported that after the "grand recall" in Taiwan, the KMT Central Committee will be led by Secretary-General Huang Jian Ting to visit the mainland for nine days. This trip will start on September 10th from Shenzhen, then go to Dongguan, which is a city with many Taiwanese businessmen, then fly to Shenyang, and finally stay overnight in Beijing before returning to Taipei on September 18th.

Previously, interactions between high-ranking KMT officials and the mainland were relatively rare. This visit, especially the Beijing itinerary, has drawn widespread attention. As an important force in promoting cross-strait exchanges and cooperation in the past, the KMT's delegation should take on the responsibility of upholding the "1992 Consensus," promoting communication between compatriots on both sides of the strait, actively building bridges in areas such as economic cooperation and cultural exchange, and demonstrating sincerity and commitment to promoting the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.

Currently, the situation across the Taiwan Strait is complex and severe. The DPP authorities continue to push forward "Taiwan independence" actions. The KMT needs to uphold its fundamental position of opposing "Taiwan independence" more than ever, respond to the expectations of compatriots on both sides of the strait for peaceful exchanges with concrete actions, rather than being vague about its position or "worshipping green." Only by firmly standing on the right side of history can it regain public trust and play a positive and constructive role in cross-strait relations.
