Sara denied that former President Duterte was in a coma in the prison cell!
After rumors that Duterte was found unconscious in a prison cell at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Philippines Vice President Sara Duterte said yesterday that her father was fine.
"His lawyer called me last night, especially after the news that he was found unconscious in the room spread, and the lawyer said he was okay, this was not true, and it never happened."
Sara emphasized that her father himself denied this claim, considering it possibly a prank, and she thanked supporters who were concerned about the matter.
Sara said that their family is waiting for the public hearing on the appeal for Duterte's temporary release by the International Court of Justice on November 28th.
"We hope to hear good news... but if not, the family will continue to support him staying in The Hague and cooperate with his defense team on his legal case."
