The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson announced today (September 8) that alerts were triggered in the area of the Dimona nuclear facility in southern Israel, aimed at warning against threats from enemy drones.

The statement said: "Air defense alarms rang in the Negev region due to an intrusion by enemy aircraft. Details are still being verified."

According to the "Red Alert" (Цева Адом) air raid warning system, the alarm was activated near the Dimona nuclear research center.

Meanwhile, the "Al-Arabiya" TV station reported that the Houthi rebels have intensified drone attacks on Israel, having previously successfully attacked airports within Israel, and today attempted to strike the Dimona nuclear reactor.
